Help! Help me understand this. I can’t wrap my head around it. Please… I believe, help my unbelief!
As I awoke this morning, I felt an urgency to see, feel and announce… the Glory of the Lord, here…
My God is greater! My God is stronger! My God is higher than any other! My God is Healer! Awesome in power… My God!
… We sing this, but do we believe and stand on what that truly means?
‘WHATever’ have we done with… “we can do all things in Christ who strengthens us”? “Do not fear or be dismayed by the great multitude, for the battle is not ours but God’s”? and…
Believers Are Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven. [Matthew 5]
WHY then? Why is it that we [Christians] have the unlimited resources of our almighty God, and yet we still project limited, lukewarm, less than stellar outcomes? Why do ‘the others’ call and see us as lame, freaks, the dimWITs of society? Don’t go telling me that “it’s a faith thing”… only. “Our treasure lies in Heaven, not on Earth”… all of them. “We will see glory when we get to Heaven”… assuming God can’t get the job done here and now.
Oh my God… say it’s not so. Shake us up, wake us up!
… For Heaven’s sake!
Are we merely to ‘hope of the glory of God’? Hope when Jesus secures it, is a certainty! [Romans 5:1-5] If we lose our flavor of and for the Lord, how will the rest see and want to taste our good seasoning? I really get the “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful acts of darkness, but rather expose them.” [Eph. 5:11] But, if the light does not enter to where the darkness lies, how will the darkness see the Light? Did we not first have to see to believe? We are to live, gloriously, among them on Earth, not become earthly with them, producing human byproduct… but by the fruitfulness of the Spirit.
So help me, please, to understand. Why do Christians obtain lukewarm results? Why does our WITness appear so dim? Why are we seen as mindless sheep, led away from the good things in life? Why are our lives viewed as tastefully simple, yes, boring? Oh my God, we have put Your Light under a basket. Oh my Lord… help us please… for Heaven’s sake.
Our Father in Heaven shall supply all our need…
We should stand out… loud and proud, in FAITH UNITED! Knowing that> If we, being less than, can give good gifts and do great things, how much more with our God in us [One in the Spirit]… greater things then these we will receive and do?
To accomplish Heavenly results… “Seek first the kingdom of God…”[Matthew 6:33] “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”[Proverbs 3:5-6] Knowing> We ‘who are joined to the Lord… are one spirit with Him’. [1 Corinthians 6:17] We are the body!
If our God is for us, who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us, what can stand against… and win?!
For Heaven’s sake…
“Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
Let Your glory be above all the earth.”
1 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me!
For my soul trusts in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge,
Until these calamities have passed by.
2 I will cry out to God Most High,
To God who performs all things for me.
3 He shall send from heaven and save me;
He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah
God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.
4 My soul is among lions;
I lie among the sons of men
Who are set on fire,
Whose teeth are spears and arrows,
And their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
Let Your glory be above all the earth.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps;
My soul is bowed down;
They have dug a pit before me;
Into the midst of it they themselves have fallen. Selah
7 My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise.
8 Awake, my glory!
Awake, lute and harp!
I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing to You among the nations.
10 For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens,
And Your truth unto the clouds.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
Let Your glory be above all the earth.
