There is God, above it all.
I was reminded again today of a prophetic vision that a friend of mine shared with me in a private conversation on Facebook, not long ago. I have seen so many of God’s beautiful landscapes in the physical and spiritual lately, I can’t help but reflect on a shared vision, that may have opened my mind, heart, and eyes… even MORE.
If you are interested in picturing the landscape of His vision for us… You also, must open your minds, your hearts, and your eyes to the possibilities of God– through His window.
It all started with my… “You have a word for me.”
Friend: “Well, i did see something while i was praying. You can pray this over if you’d like…
It began with seeing you on the top of a hill, in rolling hills/fields of grass. In the beginning of what i saw was you in the distance, as if i was viewing you from another hill far behind you. You were looking forward and were very, very tiny–quite a ways away. Then, i had to quiet myself more to really see anything else. I wasn’t sure about what i had seen at that point, so i quieted myself in prayer. At that point, i saw you standing on a hill again, but i was viewing you from up close behind you overlooking your shoulder. Ahead of you were many more rolling fields in the distance. You were amazed by what you were seeing–you could see far ahead and were able to really take in the entire picture from where you were standing. The difficulty was getting from where you were to the tops of those hills that seemed to go on forever in the distance.
I feel the reminder for you is to just think back to all the hills God has taken you to the summits for in the past, and how big of a gap it is between where you are now and where you were then (from the beginning part of what i pictured). Since God did all the work then, He can and will do all the work ahead. It matters more that you climbed to the top of your own hill that you currently are at in life, peered over the summit for a vantage point, and wanted to see all that God has planned ahead and because you wanted to see what God wants next, and not just a little bit more but far beyond that to all that God has for you in the distance, God will take you there.
Seek first His Kingdom, only focus on what you have before you on your own hill–your own yard/garden to tend right now, but desire the hills in the distance and God will do the rest of getting you to those points in His due time.
It’s the fact that you WANT TO WANT all that God wants, [not... that we sometimes get tripped up in wanting other gods and things of this world], that will ultimately take us to higher places–to places of further sanctification and responsibility. Embracing WANTING TO WANT more, and just tend to the bits of the Kingdom that He gives for you right today.
I guess, don’t worry so much about your own failures, inabilities, inefficiencies, wrongful wants, etc. just focus on wanting to want more, and let Him do the work of the sanctification. The desire to be sanctified more, is more important than what you can figure out to do on your own power.”
Me: Tears of JOY falling… What you are describing is a re-occurring
dream I have in the Spirit. I am dancing in a field. I can’t get enough of
everything I am taking in of the Lord.
You have BLESSED me with your vision. I am so AMAZED by the Lord, and how He gives to His people. THANK YOU!
I will pray on all these things.
Friend: “He’s got all the time in the world to take you to those other hills, and even eternity beyond that. Love His will, His vision, His Kingdom (all of it that you can take in); you will see it, but don’t ever feel like you’re running out of time… you’re not, because you have eternity. He has you where you are for a reason–He wants someone on this mountain right now doing His work. When He wants you on the next, He’ll move you there. Love all that you take in that is of Him, but don’t be overwhelmed by it. He shows you the broader view and you desire more of the Kingdom not because you are being called to tend to all those mountains yourself, but because you are to enjoy the fruits and harvest from those mountains in addition to the one you’re tending to.
I think that’s all. Pray it over though, since my interpretation and thoughts about what i saw should be tested by you in your time with God. The dream is interesting though… that’s really neat!”
Me: I have been struggling lately [BIG birthday and all] with what I had and what I have now. It is rough when we have to live in this world and be subjected to what it deems valuable and its standard of merit. I don’t have much to account for now to the world, where I did when I was younger. BUT… I would not trade my love affair with Jesus in the present, for anything this world has to offer.
I am, although, constantly concerned about my witness for Him and offering a ‘living testimony’ of His great blessings. I have seen myself as a bridge of sorts… having lived on both sides and understanding wounded hearts and lives. They really need JESUS… like me.
THANK YOU! PRAISE JESUS! I will pray and fast… more, more, more.
To my friend…
I have thought and prayed on the things we have shared together. This morning before church, I understood your ‘Word’ from the Lord to be accurate and not just mine. I ask you… “Who was with me in the vision and who was it… that saw what I saw?”
BE BLESSED INDEED, as you are a blessing…

I do not know who this post is for, but I believe there are several in need of the message… “Embracing WANTING TO WANT more…” and “Love His will, His vision, His Kingdom (all of it that you can take in); you will see it, but don’t ever feel like you’re running out of time… you’re not, because you have eternity. He has you where you are for a reason–…”.
Ask, Seek, Knock
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
