Reblogged from nnyPHISHnet's Blog:
Shouldn't we be the same Christian that shows up with faith, to mourn & grieve the loss, as we did when we prayed for the miracles and the healing in the first place? And shouldn't we be unified by our Christian difference... in making a difference?
I believe... the Christian that prays now, should be the same Christian that stands…
... in faith, when things seemingly go wrong, the tables turn, or a child dies… ?! If we turn tail and run, hide when our words [prayers] don’t line up with the outcome, when the miracle doesn’t happen, the healing fails, or the loss incurred… what ‘sets us apart’ from anyone else? Is this not what anyone can do? Whether ‘Jew or Greek’ [Christian or not], don’t all seek for miracles & healing and desire love, favor, & grace … both to give and receive for such a time as this?
CHARGE…
Will we be the same Christian after, as we were [we are] before… the plan, the miracle of healing, the time, the direction… [that in our understanding]… falls apart, doesn’t appear, ends, or has gone astray? The Christian for today has to be the same Christian that appeared yesterday to pray hope for tomorrow. No matter the outcome of the prayer request, if we’re REAL we will be right there, whether to laugh or cry on the other side. "Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep." [Romans 12:15] “And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.” [1 Corinthians 12:26]
Thank you Julie for a thought provoking message with much Truth, your heart focus is wonderful, and yes it’s not the circumstances that matter, it is who is with us in them, we may suffer but its temporary when compared to eternity, our time on earth is just a neo second in time.
Christian Love Anne.
THANK YOU ANNE for summarizing & articulating… the heart of the matter.
Loved this… “it’s not the circumstances that matter, it is who is with us in them”.
We all will walk through the valleys and endure hard times [“though now for a little while”], but I pray all come to know that one never has to do it… alone. THANK YOU LORD!!!
