Where Do You Go for Advice?

On July 23, 2010, I blogged…

O my God lead me… As I awoke this morning You Blessed me with a message to bless others as if it were my last day to shine…

                                            LAMPSTAND
Mt 5:15 “Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Lu 8:16 “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.

When I sit down before You in question, You give me Answer, You enlighten me…
ASK and you will receive… “Whatever things asked for in prayer, BELIEVING, you will receive”.  SEEK and you will find…  ”Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”  KNOCK and the door will be opened to you… Where Jesus ”stands at the door and knocks.  All who hears His voice and opens the door, He will come in to them and dine with them and they with HE.”  And in prayer, HE gave me Answer.  My God, my God, GRACE!

Thank You Lord for when I am weak, You make me strong.  As I had laid down my heart before Your Court and prayed mercy, You gave me… 2 Cor 12: 9… “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness “ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.  10Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

The enemy can take my body, but he can’t take my spirit.  It is no longer in my possession… “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.  If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.” (A childhood prayer in the midst of a raging storm.)  My Father, my Lord, keeps my spirit, His investment, safe, sound, HIS… for eternity.  If God is for me, then I ask… who can come against me, and win?! (Not a question, His Promise!)  And as for my body… ‘absent of the body, present with the Lord!’  Thank You Jesus!!!

Lord, Your Grace is sufficient.  Your Word is living and afresh every morning.  So I say to all who has an ear to hear…

“Let your light so shine before men (mankind), that they may see your good works and glorify the Father in Heaven” Mt. 5:16

… as if it were your last day.

And for today, August 12, 2010, in Scripture,

HE gave me Answer.  My God, my God, GRACE!

Where Do You Go for Advice?.

Read | 1 Timothy 4:4-10

1 Timothy 4 (New American Standard Bible)

Apostasy

1But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 2by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,   3men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.    4For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;    5for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

A Good Minister’s Discipline
6In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. 7But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;    8for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.    9It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance.    10For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.    11Prescribe and teach these things.    12Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.    13Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching.    14Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.    15Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.    16Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

2 Cor 12: 9… “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness “ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.  10Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

When I sit down before You in question, You give me Answer…   THANK YOU LORD!!

For it is in God, alone, I put my trust & hope.  HE calls me to love…  I accept.  But in all matters of guidance and trust…  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart,  And lean not on your own understanding; In all ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
