A STAR Story
A STAR Short Story, written for my son… He is ‘STAR of the WEEK’ at his school, but his star quality always shines brightly to me every week… I finished it just in time for delivery and, in much to my surprise, I found it… for me… to be divinely poetic.
Never Ending Story…
Once upon a time… there was an old woman who lived in… high heeled shoes. She thought she couldn’t get any higher… in heels. She thought she had the PICTURE perfect life. So she sang a beautiful song as she danced in heels that were high. In her song, she thanked God for her life in high heeled shoes.
Then one day, her heels broke, and the old woman found herself in flats. “Oh what should I do, thought the old woman? I am in desperate need of repair. I now have to walk in shoes with no heels.”
So off she went, to find a painter to repair her picture perfect life… with high heels, she thought. BUT! What the old woman found in her travels surprised her; how much more she could see; how much more comfortable she could feel, in her shoes with no heels. Oh, how she loved her new shoes.
Early one morning on her journey, much to her delight, the old woman came upon a tiny boy. His name was Mark M. VanGO. His smile, his laugh, his voice, his paintings, enchanted the old woman. She thought, “Perhaps God has given me a new song, a new picture, new shoes to walk in.”
Mark came to live with an old woman who had lived in… high heeled shoes. But that tiny boy, grew and he grew. And with each day, the old woman’s picture… became a little more perfect, and a lot higher… in shoes with no heels.
Thank You for my son, Mark. He is a great blessing. I never knew how high love could go, until I met my son… and Yours.
LOVE YOU MARK! GOD BLESS YOU!
