Record… a New Song

In front of me was a beautifully written letter.  The words were written with a majestic blue ink and perfectly placed in script on a glorious white sheet.  Wow God!  What is this that I see?  What does it say?  What does it mean?  As my requests went up, so did the sheet.  At just the right moment, the sheet turned at a 45 degree angle, took on a circular shape, and began to spin… I thought a [LP] record.  I was blessed and felt a well-needed smile across my face.

Then… I awoke.  It was as if my sleep came to a screeching halt with planned precision.  I had an urgency to record the time… “5:09”  I knew that these numbers would have great relevance for me in Scripture, but which 5:09?  As soon as I thought that, “Romans” appeared to me.  So I immediately, without hesitation, grabbed my Now Bible that I thought to place next to me before I went to bed, and searched for “Romans 5:09″…

“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.”

I fell back asleep again with a peace I had not felt in so long, but longed so to have.  When I read the Scriptures I did not understand the significance at the moment I received them, but I knew I would.  My God is faithful always in His provision.  And… hours later, after the commotion of getting children ready and on a bus for school… I got it!

“Read Romans 5:0-9.”

What you don’t know is my clock is 9-10 minutes fast.  When I first looked at the clock, I wondered… real time or recorded time?  Now… I look to all time…

Romans 5

Results of Justification

 1Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

 2through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

 3And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;

 4and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;

 5and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

 6For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

 7For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.

 8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

 Romans 5:09 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

Those who know me, or just recently had a conversation with me, may know the meaning I now take from the above “words in motion”.

I pray all of you labor over these words for just the right meaning to sing over your life.  The Scripture that Jesus speaks… “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”, is for all who grow weary in service to Him.  For those ‘sold out’ for Jesus, feeling that we have nothing left to give.  Those of us that are at the end of ourselves and cry “Jesus”.  Those, who are the unchosen by man, but are so loved by God… for such a time as this.  For those of us that lie lifeless; at the end of our rope, dangling, waiting on… Hope.  It is those… HE FIGHTS for.  It is those… JESUS SAVES for HIMSELF!  Blessed are those…

“Today, I record… a New Song”

… jams4JESUS
Oh death, where is your sting… now?

Come to Me…
 25At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.
 26“Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.
 27“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
 28“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
 29“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.
 30“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
                    [Matthew 11]
