I suppose I am preaching to the choir when I ask this but… Have you ever been in a place in your life where you are at the end of yourself and cry out for the escape route?… You can’t imagine living one more minute, little lone, another day?… The circumstances that surround you are so disturbing, foreign, or unimaginable that your conscience begs to awake from the bad dream?… The darkness in your life appears to stick to you like glue? Or… perhaps there are parts of you, even you would like to cut off, that you and others would be hurt no more?
If this is you… you are not alone!
I know my God is bigger, stronger, and willing to take on anything ‘I got’. I know His grace is sufficient. I know His mercies are fresh every morning. I know His supply will meet every one of my needs. I know I can do all things in Him who strengthens me. I know that I am not to worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow has enough worries of its own…
“BUT, Oh my God…
What about the right here and right now? I’m drowning Lord. I can’t see the Light at the end of the tunnel. I know there is one, but I can’t see it. I don’t want to LIVE like this any longer. I am human… I don’t want to be, but I am. I am not in control, You are Jesus. This can’t be what You want for me, because You said You came to give me life and life… abundantly. There is no life… in the darkness, in the deceit, in compromise. You Father, will cause all things to work together for good, but what about… today? What about right here, where I am… right now?”
My God is faithful even when I am not.
And He hears the cries of His children.
So for today…
“Others will make offerings of prayer for you, to try and help. This is good. And you should say to them… “Yes we will rejoice and pray together… but first, I seek the Lord. First, I will sit with Him… alone. First, it is GOD!”
And it is from here… “God speaks! God heals! God restores! God transforms!”
…if this is you.
“Get on your face before ME and tell ME who it is… you love!”
