“I know JESUS”!
So… why are we fighting to be first? Why do we step on or over another to get the recognition we believe we should receive? Why is it important that they [the others] notice our good works? Why do we find it necessary to sound a trumpet before our next move? What is the significance in what they see and why do we care so much about how that relates to ourselves? Why is the drive to get people into our church and not HIS Church? And why don’t we send those of particular need to a certain body of Christ that God has equipped best to heal, knowing that the laborers are few and the harvest… great [Luke 10:2]?
Is it not God who comes first?! Is it not truth, that the first will be last and the last to be first, where it counts?! Is it not our association with Jesus, the creditable witness and bail bondsman, that gives us a get out of jail ‘free’ card?! Is it not true, that our real treasure lay wait in Heaven?!
We all will stand [or rather kneel] one day before the Lord. We all will ‘have our day in court’. We all will be presumed guilty, unless Jesus has ‘claimed’ our innocence and release, having completed our sentence. Why is it, that some pray their hearts out that they get the Lord’s will and plan right the first time, that their witness be holy and purely about Jesus, that they hear with earnest clarity the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that it be God that gets all the glory? AND some… don’t?
Why do some believe that their name, their title, their money, their position, their intellect, beauty or charm, their community service, their religious affiliation, their ‘connections’, or or or… will give them pole position with God, on THAT day? Have they not heard a WORD that’s been said? Why do they put more stock in their birth-name and birthday, then in the sound of the Lord’s great name and day?
The only name you will ever ‘need to KNOW’, and drop before God, on that day…
In the First Place… is JESUS!
It is well… “I know Jesus”!
