10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—for our testimony to you was believed. 11 To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, 12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. [2 Thessalonians 1]
WOW GOD! I struggled for days with this post. First, having thought of how fitting it was, then questioning its origin, and then…WOW GOD!… I knew it was for today. Today’s reading of the InTouch daily devotional and Scriptures [“Growing Faith” https://nnyphishnet.net/in-christ-daily/welcome-to-in-christ-daily/growing-faith/?preview=true&preview_id=3319&preview_nonce=9ccd506d2b … “In Christ, daily”]
…opened the door.
I just couldn’t seem to get the post to work. It wasn’t quite right. When this happens, I usually know to walk away and return when so prompted. So then, why the SURPRISE!? Why am I still so mesmerized by how much the Lord blesses me? I know His hand, because I’m not that good. I have nothing without Him. But with HIM… wonders never cease.
So I wonder… is this bad? Shouldn’t I see it coming? I do KNOW that the Lord blesses me in His Word, His Spirit, and His people… but why am I lifted clearly off the ground, when it happens? Shouldn’t I be so confident in Christ, that I am never taken by His surprise and swept off my feet? I feel so childish, at times, with my childlike wonder, that I think… “Am I a child?” “WOW GOD!”
So for today… I give you “She has Your Eyes!”…
She stands, with eyes fixed and lifted upward. Her face illuminates from the Son’s light. A spirited wind gracefully blows the hair from her face… in a slow, steady motion. Her arms raised, with praise. And… whether in sun or shade, her smile tells… of His Beautiful Story.
Father… “she has Your eyes!”
‘As for you… know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him;’
1 Chronicles 28:9
For HIM, hers…
4 One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.
8When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”
When you approach her, do you look up, to see what she sees?
Do you consider what lies behind her vision?
Do you see the possibility of Jesus [standing in His place]?
Or… do you see the obvious sky?
I hope you see JESUS!
If we truly saw the wonders of God, wouldn’t we…
†Stand, with eyes, arms, and mouths… wide open.
†Lift our voices and sound off from our hearts… “Praise the Living God”… for we look at all that He has made and done and say “It is good!”
†Have a smile that would permanently remain through even the fiercest storm, knowing the One who calms the “sees”.
†Endure to the end… knowing the Author and Finisher of our life story.
†KNOW and SEE, with certain FAITH, the LIFE behind the Cross… to eternity and beyond.
What do you see… as you approach one whose gaze is on Jesus?
Do you sit back and watch… in jest?
Do you stand… in Christ-centered agreement?
Can you focus in on the vision of the Lord or have the distortions of life’s reality…
blinded your faith?
Do you see…
the creation or The Creator?
I hope you see JESUS!
She has HIS eyes… and for HIM, hers!
I love how You hold me…
Can you tell… we’re family?
If you are having trouble seeing… CLOSE YOUR EYES!
PRAY! without ceasing
SEEK! first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. [Matthew 6:33]
TRUST! in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight. [Proverbs 3:5-6]
KNOW! It’s not about you. It’s all about HIM. HE IS GOD!
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
In case you’re still WONDERING, her JOY comes from the Lord!!!
Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
… still a child at heart
1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.
3 You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O LORD, You know it all.
5 You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,”
12 Even the darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are alike to You.
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would out number the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;
24 And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way…
