There are things I just know. And then there are things… I just got to know?! A few days ago I posted “Tear drops from Heaven”. This is where my faith for believing in a reunion in Heaven… began. But today, I just got to know… more.
An excerpt from “It’s Just Geography…” [jams4JESUS post July 8, 2011]…
And I thank God for old friends. Those who have gone before me, whose legacy of
witness, has made it very clear to me… That for us, death is not an option. When one,
born of the Spirit, leaves this life, there is always something left behind. And it is
Barely two years ago, I had to say good-bye to a dear friend of mine. It still breaks my heart to this day, that I cannot call her up and talk Jesus with her. It was as if God placed two women, equally nuts about Jesus, in the same place… for such a time. I could speak the ‘unspeakable’ [the super, not natural] to her and she understood its origin. She knew this land well, we spent hours there. Decades separated our age, but God’s timing knew no boundary… It’s just geography!
You will often hear me say… When someone so close to me is with me one day, and gone the next- I’ve got to know! What are you thinking? What are you seeing? What are you smelling, touching, hearing… at this very moment? What is Jesus whispering in your ear? I have got to know… What is your reality right now? This is important to me.
My dear friend may have been gone a couple years, but her legacy and witness remains. From that day forward, she has continued to give me perspective… If there is a gift above all other gifts… it is to give the gift of Christ’s assurance, that when we go from here, we are found with Him there. It’s just geography!
Where I know you see Jesus… There are whispers in your ear… All your senses are dancing… Where you experience ‘no more tears’.
So… I know you are with Jesus.
My faith and spirit rests in peace, there.
But I still got to know… What are you seeing, feeling, hearing this very moment? Jesus, please tell me, I gotta know?
Oh Lord, may I see for myself?
