I want to know and remember it. Because one day, I know your name will come back to me, as we work together… for the kingdom of God. You look puzzled and somewhat angry with me for this insight [at first]. Then, you draw closer to me and say… “What do you know!…?”
I know that there is a voice inside you that tells you the way you should go. You find yourself reasoning with it, like friends in a deep discussion. And what makes matters worse for you, it seems, is when complete strangers come up to you out of nowhere and tell you these very thoughts… out loud. We speak as if we have known you your whole life and yet we have just met. You think… “This is crazy.” No, not crazy… we’re family.
You see, I recognize our family resemblance. I know our Father looks at you and says “Now that’s a young man I can use mightily in My Kingdom”. “You, My daughter, have been given much… much more you will do for Me.”
But you say… “You must have mistaken me for someone else.” Really? What does the voice inside you… say now?
When you’re finally ready to answer the call. When you’re tired of running. When you know there is nowhere else to run…
“That’s right! God wants you, even you, especially you!”
No need to get cleaned up first. HE desires you to come as you are… right now! Don’t look back! Don’t look around! It doesn’t matter what the others are doing. This is between you and Him.
Eyes forward, fixed on Jesus… ready MARCH!
So… What’s your name?
If you are lost and need to be found…
I will lead you only as far as
The rest of this story… is HIS!
But if you need to talk? If you need directions?
Here’s my card…
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.”
Food for thought…
I found this book as I was finishing this post. As always…
“WOW GOD!” and “THANKS!”…
“God made only one version of you. He custom designed you for a one-of-a-kind assignment.
You are heaven’s Halley’s comet; we have one chance to see you shine. You
offer a gift to the world that no one else brings. So find it and bring it! And
when you do, both you and God will smile.
Yes, you can be everything God wants you to be.”
“You were created for a purpose, but not just any purpose-A special, divine purpose. Understanding that purpose and knowing how to go after it is the message of this book.” … by MB [Amazon]
“Max Lucado writes in a style all his own, and I enjoy the way he personalizes the topic he is writing about to our own lives. The title of this book summarizes it well – you can be everything God wants you to be. Not as the world says, that, “you can be anything you want to be,” because in all honesty, that isn’t really true. Max writes, “Our Maker gives assignments to people, ‘to each according to each one’s unique ability'” (Matt. 25:15). He goes on to say, “God endows us with gifts so we can make Him known. Period.” He quotes 1 Corinthians 13:7 “Each person is given something to do that shows who God is.” (MSG)” … By Montananana (Montana) [Amazon]
