“says Who!”

As I sat at the table this morning drinking a cup of hot cocoa, and chatting at the Lord, I heard rather lightheartedly… “says who?”  I had been reflecting on a recent church service I attended as a guest, words that had come back to me that I spoke for others, my daily devotional Scriptures from Ephesians 1 and Galatians 3, and sights I had BEHOLD!  When… “says who” broke my ‘chain of thought’.  And I chuckled.

I am always so amazed at the gifts my Father gives to His people.  What I can’t wrap my head around some days [but getting better every day] is how He gives to me, even me, especially me.

“Lord, You can’t possibly be talking about me?  I am someone without a name, a title, a job… And a woman.  You must have me confused with someone else… someone with a name, a title, a job… And a man.”

“says who”

I have heard many things spoke over me, but I care what You think God… “What and who do You say that I am?”

“Who am I, O Lord  GOD, and what is my house, that You have brought me this far?” [2 Samuel 7:18]

I care not what I see, but rather what You see for me.  And after You said “Father, this one is Mine!”… everything else became gravy to me.  I would be satisfied with the scraps that fall from Your table, but You my awesome Lord… have given me a chair.”

“Behold, I [Jesus] stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” [Revelation 3:20]

The Grace…

But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.  But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.   For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.  For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.   And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.  [Galatians 3:23-29]

And as a word came back to me for a friend of mine, I now serve to you– “Take second to no one… you are first in God’s eyes.”

[In reposting, I thought to remove this statement once delivered for a specific friend, and then I thought again.  ~A certain someone needs to hear this today.]
