When I hear something so disastrous & threatening to the people of God, I can’t help but put my hands over my ears, then my head between my legs, and wait for the plane to crash. I can’t listen to that CRAP and neither should you. Your life really does depend on it!
I am not going to sugar coat this, tickle your ears, or tell you what you want to hear…
“paganism is a lie, you will surely die, and it is CRAP!!!”
I know, I know… I can’t tell you anything. You are going to do it your way and nothing God or I have to say will change your mind or life. Well, we do agree on one thing… I am not going to tell you anything. You see I believe that others hold onto “whatever” they believe [beliefs, faith] as tightly as I do mine.
The Lord my God tells me… “Don’t tell them, show them.” So this challenge, I gladly accept…
“ O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, today let it be known that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant and I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that You, O Lord, are God, and that You have turned their heart back again.”
[1 Kings 18:36-37]
I believe that a true child of God, “a real one [Christian]”, speaks volumes about who they so love & serve, and when necessary… even with words. And, with that in mind, heart, & in the Spirit… the favor, the gifts, the miracles, and the blessings of God… will be sure to follow. Truly, if we are His… shouldn’t the Light [“Here’s to His glory”], the Flavor [“the salt of the Earth”], and the Favor [unmerited at that] of our Family resemblance, be plain-fully obvious [& sometimes even painfully] to the others?
As of recent, whether walking toward me or away from me, my friends or family [who I don’t believe knows Christ as “Savior” & “Lord”] appear to me as “dying”… like they are the walking dead. Morbid right? But this absolutely takes my very breath away in horror and tears of grief fall from my face.
“Oh my God… You are the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob! You are my God! If it be Your will, let it be known in this day that You are my God and that I am Yours [Your child]. Please Lord… instruct me in the way I should “go”, and fill my mouth with Your words, my heart with Your love for them, that their hearts & minds return to You & LIFE to them.”
I have said in the past “Man I hope you’re right”, because in that way we both win an eternal trip to Heaven, residing in mansions, and experiencing a peace this Earth has never known. A place where there is no more suffering, fear, or pain. A place where there is never-ending bliss instead of the exact opposite. A place of rest in peace.
But, my friends, family, & “the others”…
“What if I am right and you are wrong… where does that leave you?”
And… “Can you expect admission when you knock on the Lord’s door to His house in Heaven, when you haven’t invited Him into yours here?”
As much as it pains me to see you suffer and to say this… I can no longer pray for you in this way. For there is only ONE WAY, ONE TRUTH~ ONE LIFE ~to the Father in Heaven and it’s…
If you don’t get on board with the truth this [Earth] is where we will part. The plane will crash and I will LIVE and you will surely DIE.
I am crying as I write this because I love you so much I don’t want to see you ever die… but I am not the one who can control this. So I pray for you…
“Right now in the name of Jesus, I pray that this deceptive veil be removed from your eyes and that you see very clearly the truth~ who God is and who & what He is not! That all the false gods, idols, and ways be exposed for what they are [a lie] & what they aren’t [a ticket to Heaven]. That true peace can only be found “in Jesus” and with Him alone there is no more pain! I pray to my God of everything [Sun, Moon, Stars, Earth, wind, fire, air, water, sky, of all things living… EVERYTHING!], that He will take my family, my friends, my loved ones [“the others”] and…
Deliver them~ safely Home
And on that day~ A Family Reunion!”
Delivered Home Safely!
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” Love, Jesus
This post is dedicated to my Father in Heaven, as we celebrate Father’s Day today… June 17, 2012. For without HIM, we would have nowhere to go!
THANK YOU LORD!
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
And to “my Dad”… F. James Harter Jr… “I love you so much I want to spend eternity with you. God has truly BLESSED me… with you. Your guidance, love, and support have spoken volumes to my heart throughout my life… here, and I pray that it shall continue… there [Heaven]. God has made you… a gift! Thank You Lord… for “my Dad”!
And to all Dad’s… Know that your families are looking to you and playing “follow the leader”. If your eyes are looking up & fixed on Jesus, you are seeking the right way and focused in the right direction. But, if you are still on the fence with the Light [Jesus] on the side in front of you and the dark side on the one in back of you, and your family is behind you…
“Where does that leave them?”
Go toward the Light!
1 Kings 18…
17 When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is this you, you troubler of Israel?” 18 He said, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, because you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and you have followed the Baals. 19 Now then send and gather to me all Israel at Mount Carmel, together with 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of the Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”
God or Baal on Mount Carmel
20 So Ahab sent a message among all the sons of Israel and brought the prophets together at Mount Carmel. 21 Elijah came near to all the people and said, “ How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him a word. 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord, but Baal’s prophets are 450 men. 23 Now let them give us two oxen; and let them choose one ox for themselves and cut it up, and place it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other ox and lay it on the wood, and I will not put a fire under it. 24 Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord, and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” And all the people said, “That is a good idea.”
25 So Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one ox for yourselves and prepare it first for you are many, and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.” 26 Then they took the ox which was given them and they prepared it and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon saying, “O Baal, answer us.” But there was no voice and no one answered. And they leaped about the altar which they made. 27 It came about at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Call out with a loud voice, for he is a god; either he is occupied or gone aside, or is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and needs to be awakened.” 28 So they cried with a loud voice and cut themselves according to their custom with swords and lances until the blood gushed out on them. 29 When midday was past, they raved until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice; but there was no voice, no one answered, and no one paid attention.
30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord which had been torn down. 31 Elijah took twelve stones according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying, “ Israel shall be your name.” 32 So with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord, and he made a trench around the altar, large enough to hold two measures of seed. 33 Then he arranged the wood and cut the ox in pieces and laid it on the wood. 34 And he said, “Fill four pitchers with water and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.” And he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time. And he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time. 35 The water flowed around the altar and he also filled the trench with water.
36 At the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “ O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, today let it be known that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant and I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that You, O Lord, are God, and that You have turned their heart back again.” 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “ The Lord, He is God; the Lord, He is God.” 40 Then Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal; do not let one of them escape.” So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.
Jeremiah 2 (NASB)
Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, 2 “Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord,
“I remember concerning you the devotion of your youth,
The love of your betrothals,
Your following after Me in the wilderness,
Through a land not sown.
3 “Israel was holy to the Lord,
The first of His harvest.
All who ate of it became guilty;
Evil came upon them,” declares the Lord.’”
4 Hear the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel. 5 Thus says the Lord,
“ What injustice did your fathers find in Me,
That they went far from Me
And walked after emptiness and became empty?
6 “They did not say, ‘Where is the Lord
Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt,
Who led us through the wilderness,
Through a land of deserts and of pits,
Through a land of drought and of deep darkness,
Through a land that no one crossed
And where no man dwelt?’
7 “I brought you into the fruitful land
To eat its fruit and its good things.
But you came and defiled My land,
And My inheritance you made an abomination.
8 “The priests did not say, ‘Where is the Lord?’
And those who handle the law did not know Me;
The rulers also transgressed against Me,
And the prophets prophesied by Baal
And walked after things that did not profit.
9 “Therefore I will yet contend with you,” declares the Lord,
“And with your sons’ sons I will contend.
10 “For cross to the coastlands of Kittim and see,
And send to Kedar and observe closely
And see if there has been such a thing as this!
11 “Has a nation changed gods
When they were not gods?
But My people have changed their glory
For that which does not profit.
12 “Be appalled, O heavens, at this,
And shudder, be very desolate,” declares the Lord.
13 “For My people have committed two evils:
They have forsaken Me,
The fountain of living waters,
To hew for themselves cisterns,
That can hold no water.
14 “Is Israel a slave? Or is he a homeborn servant?
Why has he become a prey?
15 “The young lions have roared at him,
They have roared loudly.
And they have made his land a waste;
His cities have been destroyed, without inhabitant.
16 “Also the men of Memphis and Tahpanhes
Have shaved the crown of your head.
17 “Have you not done this to yourself
By your forsaking the Lord your God
When He led you in the way?
18 “But now what are you doing on the road to Egypt,
To drink the waters of the Nile?
Or what are you doing on the road to Assyria,
To drink the waters of the Euphrates?
19 “ Your own wickedness will correct you,
And your apostasies will reprove you;
Know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter
For you to forsake the Lord your God,
And the dread of Me is not in you,” declares the Lord God of hosts.
20 “For long ago I broke your yoke
And tore off your bonds;
But you said, ‘I will not serve!’
For on every high hill
And under every green tree
You have lain down as a harlot.
21 “Yet I planted you a choice vine,
A completely faithful seed.
How then have you turned yourself before Me
Into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?
22 “Although you wash yourself with lye
And use much soap,
The stain of your iniquity is before Me,” declares the Lord God.
23 “ How can you say, ‘I am not defiled,
I have not gone after the Baals’?
Look at your way in the valley!
Know what you have done!
You are a swift young camel entangling her ways,
24 A wild donkey accustomed to the wilderness,
That sniffs the wind in her passion.
In the time of her heat who can turn her away?
All who seek her will not become weary;
In her month they will find her.
25 “Keep your feet from being unshod
And your throat from thirst;
But you said, ‘ It is hopeless!
No! For I have loved strangers,
And after them I will walk.’
26 “As the thief is shamed when he is discovered,
So the house of Israel is shamed;
They, their kings, their princes
And their priests and their prophets,
27 Who say to a tree, ‘You are my father,’
And to a stone, ‘You gave me birth.’
For they have turned their back to Me,
And not their face;
But in the time of their trouble they will say,
‘Arise and save us.’
28 “But where are your gods
Which you made for yourself?
Let them arise, if they can save you
In the time of your trouble;
For according to the number of your cities
Are your gods, O Judah.
29 “Why do you contend with Me?
You have all transgressed against Me,” declares the Lord.
30 “ In vain I have struck your sons;
They accepted no chastening.
Your sword has devoured your prophets
Like a destroying lion.
31 “O generation, heed the word of the Lord.
Have I been a wilderness to Israel,
Or a land of thick darkness?
Why do My people say, ‘ We are free to roam;
We will no longer come to You’?
32 “Can a virgin forget her ornaments,
Or a bride her attire?
Yet My people have forgotten Me
Days without number.
33 “How well you prepare your way
To seek love!
Therefore even the wicked women
You have taught your ways.
34 “Also on your skirts is found
The lifeblood of the innocent poor;
You did not find them breaking in.
But in spite of all these things,
35 Yet you said, ‘I am innocent;
Surely His anger is turned away from me.’
Behold, I will enter into judgment with you
Because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’
36 “Why do you go around so much
Changing your way?
Also, you will be put to shame by Egypt
As you were put to shame by Assyria.
37 “From this place also you will go out
With your hands on your head;
For the Lord has rejected those in whom you trust,
And you will not prosper with them.”
